Zhu Xiong (朱熊, Chu Hùng) was the eldest son of Senior General Zhu Ju (朱据, Chu Cứ) and Princess Sun Luyu (孙鲁育, Tôn Lỗ Dục), making him a royal grandson of Sun Quan (孙权, Tôn Quyền). He served as Tiger Cavalry General (虎骑将军), commanding elite palace guards — a post that placed him at the heart of Jianye’s military household. In 257 AD the regent Sun Chen (孙綝, Tôn Lâm), consolidating power after Sun Jun (孙峻, Tôn Tuấn), fabricated charges against Zhu Xiong and younger brother Zhu Sun (朱损, Chu Tổn) and executed both in a bloody purge that eliminated Zhu Ju’s direct male heirs. Sister Empress Zhu (朱皇后, Chu Hoàng hậu) survived as the sister; the brothers did not.
