Zhu Sun (朱损, Chu Tổn) was the younger son of Senior General Zhu Ju (朱据, Chu Cứ) and Princess Sun Luyu (孙鲁育, Tôn Lỗ Dục), styled Xiao Hu (小虎, Tiểu Hổ) — a granddaughter of Sun Quan (孙权, Tôn Quyền). Through that bloodline he stood among Wu’s inner imperial kin. He married a daughter of former regent Sun Jun (孙峻, Tôn Tuấn), which should have shielded him in court politics; instead, when Sun Chen (孙綝, Tôn Lâm) seized autocratic power, paranoia toward Sun Quan’s descendants and Zhu Ju’s line led to a palace purge in 257 AD. Sun Chen ordered Zhu Sun murdered alongside elder brother Zhu Xiong (朱熊, Chu Hùng), wiping out Zhu Ju’s direct heirs in one stroke.
