Biography & Historical Record

Sima Jun (司马均, Tư Mã Quân (em)) was a son of Sima Fang (司马防, Tư Mã Phòng) and a younger brother of Sima Yi (司马懿, Tư Mã Ý) in the celebrated roster of the Eight Sons of Sima Fang (司马八达). Fourth son; 均 not 骏. Homonym: Jin prince Sima Jun (骏).

Fourth son; courtesy Jida (季达, Quý Đạt). Character 均, not 骏. Chen Shou’s core Sanguozhi text foregrounds Sima Yi (司马懿, Tư Mã Ý), Sima Lang (司马朗), and Sima Fu (司马孚); Sima Jun (Sima Yi’s brother) (司马均, Tư Mã Quân (em)) appears in the Jin-era genealogical layer as one of the Eight Sons of Sima Fang (司马八达) — eight brothers whose courtesy names all end in da (达, Đạt).

The brothers shared the Wen County pedigree and Han–Wei service culture while only Sima Yi, Sima Lang, and Sima Fu drew extended notice in Chen Shou and Pei Songzhi. This page marks the brother for Family wiki links on Sima Yi’s clan tree.

Role in Romance of the Three Kingdoms
