Biography & Historical Record
Shi Song (士颂, 士頌, Sĩ Tung; ?–226 AD) was a military commander and official of the Shi clan of Jiaozhi during the late Han and Three Kingdoms eras. He was a son of Shi Xie (士燮), who preserved peace and cultural flourishing in northern Vietnam and southern China during decades of nationwide civil war.
Upon the Shi clan establishing tributary ties with Sun Quan, Shi Song was granted the military title of General of the Standard (偏将军, Pian Jiangjun), co-commanding regional forces with his brother Shi Gan. When his elder brother Shi Hui refused to yield the regional governorship to Lu Dai in 226 AD, Shi Song was swept into the ensuing conflict, leading to the subjugation of the Shi clan and the direct administration of Jiaozhou by the Wu state.
