Cao Cong

Cao Cong was an imperial prince of the Cao Wei dynasty; son of Prince Xiao of Pengcheng Cao Ju (曹据) and grandson of the great founding Chancellor Cao Cao. Growing up in the royal court of Ye and Luoyang, Cao Cong was renowned for his filial piety, martial grace, and modest demeanor.
In 232 AD, during the reign of Emperor Ming of Wei (Cao Rui), Cao Cong was formally ennobled as the Duke of Pingyang, later succeeding to the Prince of Pengcheng. He faithfully managed the extensive royal estates of Pengcheng Commandery, funding irrigation projects along the Si River and maintaining the security of the ancestral Wei princes throughout the political realignments of the Sima regency.
