Yue Chen (乐綝, Nhạc Sâm) was the son of the Five Elite General Yue Jin (乐进, Nhạc Tiến) and a Wei frontier officer who inherited his father’s fierce discipline and battlefield reputation. He rose to Inspector of Yangzhou (扬州刺史) and held regional headquarters when Zhuge Dan (诸葛诞, Gia Cát Đản) launched the massive Shouchun rebellion in 257 AD. Yue Chen refused to join the uprising; Zhuge Dan’s forces attacked his yamen and beheaded him. Sima Zhao (司马昭, Tư Mã Chiêu) posthumously honored him as Guard General (卫将军) with the posthumous name Min (愍侯).
