Biography & Historical Record
Ou Xing (区星, Khu Tinh) (? – 187) was a historical rebel leader of Changsha Commandery (Jing Province). In the tenth month of Zhongping 4 (October 187) he proclaimed himself a general, gathered more than 10,000 followers, and attacked Changsha’s cities and towns. Sun Jian (孙坚, Tôn Kiên), newly appointed Administrator of Changsha under Emperor Ling (刘宏, Hán Linh Đế), crushed the rising within about one month and killed Ou Xing. The same southern pacification covered disturbances in Lingling and Guiyang associated with Zhou Chao (周朝, Chu Triều) and Guo Shi (郭石, Quách Thạch). Role in Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Chapter 2 colour: After the main Yellow Turban war, Ou Xing appears as a Changsha bandit/rebel. The Ten Eunuchs’ faction has Sun Jian appointed to Changsha specifically to suppress him. Sun Jian completes the campaign in fewer than fifty days, reports victory, and earns early martial fame — Romance framing that ties the historical 187 rising to eunuch-court intrigue.

Enemies
- Sun Jian (孙坚, Tôn Kiên): Newly appointed Administrator of Changsha who crushed Ou Xing’s 10,000 within about a month (novel: <50 days) and beheaded or otherwise eliminated him — Ou Xing’s defining adversary.
- Emperor Ling (刘宏, Hán Linh Đế): Imperial sovereign whose court appointed Sun Jian and later rewarded Sun Jian (Marquis of Wucheng colour) for destroying Ou Xing — structural Han authority Ou Xing rebelled against.
Other
- Lingling and Guiyang (零陵 / 桂阳): Southern Jing commanderies whose concurrent 187 disturbances (Zhou Chao / Guo Shi) were pacified in the same Sun Jian sweep that ended Ou Xing — geographic co-arc, not friendship.
- Ten Eunuchs framing (novel): Romance attributes Sun Jian’s Changsha appointment to eunuch-faction intrigue; history emphasises the Zhongping 4 military appointment and rapid victory.
- CSV id caution: Live enrich target is post 4052 /
/ou-xing/; ignore duplicate row id 11605. - Novel vs History: Same core defeat by Sun Jian; novel adds eunuch edict colour and “fifty days”; history gives Zhongping 4 tenth-month dating and ~one-month campaign.
In Novel

The Ten Eunuchs' faction issues an edict appointing Sun Jian (孙坚, Tôn Kiên) Administrator of Changsha to suppress him.
