Biography & Historical Record
Lady Pang (庞氏, 龐氏, Bàng thị; c. 180s–?) was a noblewoman of Yizhou, daughter of Pang Xi (庞羲), the veteran administrator of Baxi who rescued Liu Yan’s surviving sons from Chang’an. She was married to Liu Xun (刘循), the eldest son and heir of Governor Liu Zhang (刘璋).
The marriage was arranged by Liu Yan and Liu Zhang to cement an unbreakable political and military pact with Pang Xi, who commanded the elite Dongzhou troops protecting northern Sichuan against Zhang Lu. Following Liu Bei’s pacification of Chengdu in 214 AD, Lady Pang and Liu Xun remained in Shu, with Liu Xun appointed General of the Household (Fengju Zhonglangjiang).
