Guo Quan (郭全, Quách Toàn) was a prominent Eastern Han dynasty statesman and patriarch of the Taiyuan Guo clan from Yangqu County. He served as the Grand Courtier (Dasi nong, 大司农), one of the Nine Ministers of the imperial Han government responsible for national revenue, grain management, and treasury finances. Guo Quan’s high civil rank laid the political and social foundation that allowed the Taiyuan Guo family to rise into one of northern China’s premier aristocratic dynasties.
Through his son Guo Rong (郭荣) and grandson Guo Huai (郭淮), Guo Quan’s lineage produced celebrated military leaders and provincial governors who shaped the geopolitics of Cao Wei.
