Zhang Qian (张迁, Trương Thiên) was a noble scholar-official of Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period. Hailing from the prominent Zhang clan of Wujun, he was the husband of the famed and virtuous heroine Lu Yusheng (陆郁生), daughter of Eastern Wu’s renowned chancellor and poet Lu Ji (陆绩).
Known for his refined Confucian scholarship and moral rectitude, Zhang Qian married into the illustrious Lu clan of Jiangdong. Though their marriage was tragically brief due to his early death, Lady Lu Yusheng’s unwavering fidelity in refusing all subsequent suitors and living in chaste devotion immortalized their bond in official Wu histories and regional chronicles.
