Yang Zuo (杨祚, Dương Tộ) was a senior military commander under Liaodong warlord Gongsun Yuan (公孙渊, Công Tôn Uyên) of the self-proclaimed State of Yan. When Sima Yi (司马懿, Tư Mã Ý) besieged Xiangping in 238 AD, Yang Zuo commanded the forward defenses along the Liang River (梁水). Following heavy defeats and the encirclement of Xiangping, Yang Zuo led his forces to surrender to Sima Yi, precipitating Gongsun Yuan’s collapse.
