Biography & Historical Record
Sun Xi (孙希, 孫希, Tôn Hi; c. 220s–c. 240s AD) was an imperial prince of Eastern Wu and the eldest biological son of the revered Crown Prince Xuan, Sun Deng (孙登), making him the direct grandson of founding Emperor Sun Quan (孙权).
Sun Xi was raised in the Eastern Palace and praised for his modest, cultured temperament reflecting his father’s virtue. Following Sun Deng’s tragic death in 241 AD, Sun Xi inherited his father’s peerage as Marquis of Xindu (新都侯). Tragically, Sun Xi also died young, leaving his young son Sun Xin (孙歆), who later rose to become a major frontline general and Area Commander of Jiangling defending the Yangtze against Western Jin.
