Man Changwu (满长武, Mãn Trường Vũ) was a noble officer of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period. He was the son of Man Wei (满伟) and grandson of the distinguished Grand Marshal Man Chong (满宠, Mãn Sủng), one of the most celebrated military commanders and defensive strategists of Wei. The Man clan of Shanyang formed a pillar of Wei’s eastern military aristocracy, with Man Chong’s legendary defense of Hefei against Eastern Wu’s repeated naval assaults defining the family’s martial heritage across three generations.

Inheriting his family’s iron discipline and tactical acuity, Man Changwu served in the Wei imperial military during the reigns of Cao Fang and Cao Mao. Following his grandfather’s famous dictum that fortified defense is superior to open-field engagements, Man Changwu held garrison commands in the Huai River basin, guarding the eastern frontier against Wu naval raids.
