Cai Sanjie (蔡三姐, Thái Tam Tỷ; c. 170s–after 208 AD) was an aristocratic noblewoman of the distinguished Cai clan of Xiangyang (襄阳蔡氏), the foremost gentry family that dominated the military and political landscape of Jingzhou during the tenure of Governor Liu Biao. She was the third daughter of clan elder Cai Feng (蔡讽), making her a younger sister of naval commander Cai Mao (蔡瑁) and Lady Cai (蔡夫人) (the influential second wife of Liu Biao).
The Cai family exercised tremendous matrimonial influence across the Southland: one sister married grand recluse Huang Chengyan (giving birth to Huang Yueying, wife of Zhuge Liang), another married Liu Biao, and Cai Sanjie was allied into local prominent gentry families.
