Bu Lianshi (步练师, Bộ Luyện Sư) was the beloved consort and posthumously honored Empress of Sun Quan (孙权), the founding Emperor of Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period. Hailing from Huaiyin, she belonged to the prominent Bu clan and was a kinswoman of chancellor Bu Zhi (步骘).
Renowned for her breathtaking beauty, gentle demeanor, and lack of jealousy, Lady Bu won the deep and enduring affection of Sun Quan, who treated her as his true empress throughout his reign. She bore him two daughters, Princess Quan (Sun Luban) and Princess Zhu (Sun Luyu). Following her death in 238 CE, Sun Quan was inconsolable and posthumously elevated her as Empress, burying her with supreme imperial honors at the Jiangling Mausoleum.
